Critical mass of severability

Doctrine of Severability: A law becomes invalid only to the extent to which it is inconsistent with the fundamental rights. Hence, only that part of the law is declared invalid which is inconsistent, and the rest of the law stands.
Critical Mass: The point at which a phenomenon becomes self-sustaining, and no longer needs additional input to remain viable. In nuclear physics, critical mass is the smallest mass of material that will start a chain reaction in a nuclear bomb or reactor.
Then, as we choose to overlook someone’s faults ( doctrine of severability), it needs to be ascertained whether what remains after the overlooking is worthwhile (critical mass).
Till of course we can evolve to a higher level of compassion.
